Centralized Procurement Program

Welcome to the Carlsbad Field Office’s (CBFO) Centralized Procurement Program (CPP) Web Page.

The purpose of the Centralized Procurement Program is to provide a standardized, economical system of acquisition and distribution of containers and equipment used for shipping Transuranic (TRU) Waste to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). The program is available for use by DOE contractors.

The program is designed to allow user sites to procure products manufactured to standardized quality, procurement, and engineering requirements. The WIPP Management & Operation Contractor (MOC), Nuclear Waste Partnership, LLC (NWP), administers the program. NWP is the design authority for all products currently offered in the program.

The information provided here includes basic program elements and the products available for purchase. Any additional information regarding these elements may be requested from the applicable Point of Contact.

Services provided by the WIPP MOC include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Establish Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity
• Perform Qualified Supplier Evaluations
• Develop/Maintain Fabrication Specifications and Drawings
• Provide Order Placement and Management
• Provide In-Process Engineering and Quality Oversight
• Approve Pedigree Documentation.

Sites’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Receipt Confirmation to CPP Coordinator within (5) days of delivery of commodity(s)
• Receipt Inspections within (30) days of delivery of comodity(s)
• Product Funding
• Needs Projections
