August 2023 Proposed Final Permit
August 15, 2023 – NMED issued a public notice announcing an upcoming hybrid public meeting in order to provide a venue for the public to ask questions about the final renewal permit. The meeting will be held on September 22, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM MT. Participants can join the public meeting online on the WebEx platform or in-person in Carlsbad or Santa Fe. NMED is also providing a proposed final permit showing modifications that occurred as a result of the settlement agreement, as well as a table of these changes for ease of review. A Final Permit will be issued by NMED in October 2023 with an effective date 30 days later in November 2023. As agreed during negotiations, the comment period will also remain open until September 22, 2023, the date of the public meeting. While NMED will respond to all comments received, they will not alter the Final Permit in light of the settlement agreement. Please see associated documents below:
