Update HVAC Direct Digital Control System Software Update SIMCO is seeking potential offerors to provide professional services to update WebCTRL software from version 6.5 to 8.5 and update Automated Logic LGR router firmware and security certificates. WebCTRL software is used at WIPP to control the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. The WIPP WebCTRL network is hosted on-premises within the Central Monitoring System accredited boundary and utilizes LGR1000 model routers. The successful Offeror shall apply a SIMCO-provided Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate generated from the Subcontractor’s Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to change the WebCTRL browser interface from Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to HTTP Secure (HTTPS). Upon completion of the work scope, the subcontractor shall test and validate the software, firmware, and security certificate updates with SIMCO Cognizant System Engineer (CSE) support and provide SIMCO HVAC cognizant engineers training on WebCTRL updates. Central Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Preventive Maintenance and Repairs Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors to perform on-site service and repair of the Central Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) located in Carlsbad N.M. An EATON Certified Subcontractor is needed to provide support, service, repair, and annual preventive maintenance of the Central Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) (100KVA, 480- 208/120V, 3-Phase Eaton Powerware 9390). The successful offeror must be an authorized Eaton sales and service representative. UPS replacement parts required for repairs or service shall be OEM parts or recommended non-OEM parts approved by EATON and SIMCO. These services shall follow the SIMCO/WIPP work control process. 270 Ton Plant Chiller Replacement Project Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors for the procurement, installation and commissioning of two (2) 280 (two hundred eighty) ton plant chillers at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The purpose of this upgrade is to remove the two existing chillers, 270 ton, and replace them with larger, more efficient chillers that use HFO type refrigerant in accordance with environmental protection policies. The scope of work may include the removal and disposition of a co-located 80 (eighty) ton chiller that has been decommissioned and is no longer in use. The successful offeror will be responsible for all aspects of the project including the removal of the existing chillers, installation of the new chillers, removal of the co-located 80 ton chiller, any electrical upgrades. Site Data Center HVAC Electrical and Security Upgrades Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors to provide the design, fabrication, and installation for a new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System for the Site Data Center (SDC) and Central Monitoring Room (CMR), new electrical upgrades to include manual transfer switch, electrical panel, and Security upgrades that include badge readers and cameras for all entry points into the SDC and CMR (4 total) at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. 1Q FY2025 Trey Hood
Liquid Filled Transformers Maintenance Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors to provide on-site service and repair and perform annual preventive maintenance and predictive trending on fourteen (14) Liquid Filled Transformers at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The qualified Electrical Technical Services subcontractor responsibilities shall consist of (but not limited to) performing inspections on transformers for leaks, corrosion, inspecting transformer gauges operability, perform a dissolved gas analysis (DGA) in oil sample for lab testing, obtaining and testing a top of tank gas sample, obtaining a transformer oil sample for lab testing, perform a dielectric strength test, examining transformer oil level and overall operability as required.

Turntable Design Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors for the design of a new turntable, to replace the existing turntable, in the Facility Cask Loading Room (FCLR) at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The design will consist of a new turntable to include air bearings, air-lines, pneumatic turning system, and a rail system to match the existing rail system. The pneumatic systems will be supplied by the existing plant air system. This design shall be in compliance with the site specification and scope of work.

Site and Preliminary Design Validation (SPDV) Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors to provide the design, fabrication, and installation of an impermeable hydraulic barrier for the Site and Preliminary Design Validation (SPDV) material pile at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The purpose of this contract is to install a new cover over the existing cover for supplemental protection from groundwater contamination due to infiltration of precipitation in contact with the SPDV material pile.
SPDV PILE HISTORY
The SPDV pile is located immediately east of the main WIPP facility. The SPDV pile was created during the design validation phase of the WIPP for the placement of construction materials resulting from the drilling of two 2,150 foot mine shafts and the underground excavation of connecting tunnels, exploratory tunnels, and four rooms. The materials in the SPDV pile include mined tailings interspersed with soil, rock, and debris from the construction of the shafts. The SPDV pile encompasses approximately 10 acres and ranges in height from 7 to 20 feet above ground. The pile was closed by grading the contours and covering the pile with a geosynthetic liner, 36 inches of native soil blended with rock, and establishing native vegetation. Three shallow sub-surface monitoring wells were drilled in the vicinity of the SPDV pile to monitor for any discharges from the pile.

Tornado Man Doors Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) is seeking potential offerors for the procurement and installation of four (4) Tornado Man Doors and frames at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The purpose of this project is to replace and upgrade doors and frames to meet current standards and provide a measure of safety against the potential threat of tornadoes and severe storms.
